I spent most of my life dabbling in various creative pursuits but never took anything seriously until the mid-1990’s.
I have studied traditional darkroom printing and photography at the Hillsborough Community College in Ybor City, Florida from 1993 to 1995. I also studied art at the University of Texas in San Antonio from 2002 to 2004 while raising my young son.
I have exhibited my photographic artwork in the U.S. and France. My work has appeared in various publications and I have won several art contests.
Back when I needed a model for projects and couldn't find one, I decided to become the model hence the self-portraits.
I use different techniques for coloring my black and white photos such as oil paints, pastels, colored pencils and hand-toning. My traditional photos are hand-printed on archival fiber based silver gelatin paper in my darkroom.
I still continue to dabble and experiment with different art mediums.
